We(me & Kevin) are working on Issue nr 5 on the google repository which can be found here:

Could somebody enlighten me on how CW handles the network part?
I understand it sends a file to the server, perl is involved but how exactly this works is not clear to me :)
I remember I asked the same thing when I first got here but forgot/can't find that topic.

We've been trying to play a network game but the host gets a error which can be found on the issue5 page.

We would like to debug it locally, does somebody has access to the perl script on the server?
because each test game we create is stored on the server right?

Are there statistics available of the amount of people that play a game each /week /month /year?

The source code for the network is written in a whole other language, which escapes me at the moment. I know that the connections between the server and Java is loose in the setup. The server is only used to pass information (like game saves), from computer to computer. I'll try to dig up the language used for it and gather the source code. (Something is telling me it is Python... but don't quote me on it, yet.)

Whatever language it is written in, it would be much appreciated if you could find the source code. At the moment this is holding back the delivery of the project as we cannot debug it locally. Also, if we do not have th source code then wehaven't truly open sourced customwars yet. I really want to get the fixed version out for the end of January so if anyone knows where to aquire the customwars serverside code please let one of us know.

Urusan has had diificulties in posting in this area for some reason.
He sent me the code for the server side part of customwars.
I'll add it to google code and give it a go tonight.
