Alright, I'm not to sure where to put this, but I'm trying to port Custom Wars to the web. I know this can be done using an <applet> tag, but I'm not sure which CORE files of Custom Wars I would need to modify in order to make it work.

I have it set up at http://arka-tech.net/CustomWars/index.html but with my complete lacking in knowledge of java, or even really javascript for that matter, I am lost as to what I would need to do to solve the obvious error on the page.

Does anyone know anything that could be of some assistance, if this will even work?

No, it isn't that easy. You can't just pop an applet tag onto the Custom Wars code for instant Java on the web. There is an applet class within Java in where you have to code an applet for it to even be considered runnable for the web. Unless you have pretty good knowledge on how to code Java, it is impossible for the quick fix to the web. Sorry about that...

I am guessing he wanted something like AWBW, in where you can just play over the web without having to install anything. It is great way to do Advance Wars, if we didn't have to customize soo much within the engine.

i wouldnt call cw an engine since it doesnt read any external files(however maybe it would be if cw2 ever gets done)
