oh yeah, DP cooked up a wiki page too
should be updated in a bit
although I guess I could do it myself if DP didn't change the pass

subs can take down hovers now because for some reason they couldn't earlier which was stupid
well it would be more stupid since hovers cost 8000 at ports now but yeah

Sensei: stuff, nerf SCOP 5 HP inf spawn instead of 9

Mary: 4/6, 130/100 on both plus other effects

BRENNER: nerf SCOP 110/130, with +3 HP he really doesn't need more

DP played crappier than usual but even so

ok so I fixed that Eagle bug
and in revising Edge's atk I came across another bug
it took about 4 hours to figure out even with DP's help
well not really
remembered to include source this time


megatank def nerfed again
fighter atk on bombers and stealths nerfed
cruiser atk on bombers nerfed


Eagle bug fixed
Edge bug fixed, 3/6 COP and SCOP 130 atk on both
Sturm 5/10 no terrain defense, no perfect move infs

hey is it just me or does Zandra look a little like a giraffe? long neck/arms hmm
she could use new artwork
she could be a belly dancer

And, of course, Sturm's movement just happens to bug out on us. Because nothing's ever simple. Infantry are supposed to have regular movement, but they get perfect movement when a non-infantry unit is deployed.

I had an update almost good to go but then the computer crashed
could be a fit or it could be the thing is finally kicking the bucket

so yeah DP and I are busy backing up our stuff
so sit tight, we'll get to our games when we can etc.

I'm updating anyway just to spite my computer
even though it's just a little update


carrier build prices "fixed"
carriers have a different price list for their stuff but there's 1 thing wrong with it: it doesn't get used
instead the normal prices for those units are used but with a 20% discount
so yeah I just stuck the regular prices in the list so it reads correctly


Artemis: buff COPs rain only applies to enemy turns
Edword: 2/6 nerf SCOP 150% costs until I figure out how to prevent building of infantry
Mina: 3/5 buff SCOP deals 3 damage 20% of enemy units starting from most expensive rounded up

other: many intel spiels updated
unfortunately the width given to fill them in sometimes goes out of bounds
and shrinking the width just screws up everything in the box
have to get bigger boxes in the future

hey speaking of bugs have you ever happened across a spider, hulked out, and SMASHed it

and then when you inspect your efforts you find nothing?
the spider is now invisible but squashed
you failed on an epic level and now have a pissed off spider on your hands, maybe literally

just when I thought carriers might not suck it turns out you can build 1 unit and then they get all temperamental
they can't move or attack either

anyone remember anything about this?

I should clarify Artemis's super; it deals 0.25 damage on a 10 HP scale, the code handles HP on a scale of 100.

We've changed computers. Unfortunately, neither kiwi or myself seem to remember how to set up the stuff. We'll stumble through it eventually, but we'd be much obliged if someone could tip us off.

In the meantime, there was one major change I was thinking about. Charge rates at 8000 a star. Sometimes it feels like powers go off way too fast, specifically when bombers are in play. 8k per star might be more manageable, and it looks nice since the most expensive units are 16k. However, this would shift the power balance of the COs.

On the other hand, it may also be that the maps have too much income.

aha I found it

well DP found it, after donning a hazmat suit and trudging through the archives and getting all teary at the NOSTALGIA

it's a fixer, probably swap in the SCIENCE roads from that trippy ALIEN tileset

will also attempt tropical and swamp flavors

right I was so kindly reminded that the archives are off-limits unless you join some NOSTALGIA club or whatever
luckily I've almost finished one tileset


the SPACE set is gonna be a long time coming; there's no detail to go upon, just gray, grey, black, and white
I wish I were making that up, there really is like 2 greys and that's a mountain, on top of gray plains next to grey smudges which are I think craters

and suddenly I don't feel like doing swamps

man this looks like arse; rivers and sea look a little radioactive, mountains need more contrast, trees look daft, roads're shit

lol at least the other sets look nicer by comparison
