I noticed that in AWDS, the AI will only build one APC ever. As in, after the first APC is destroyed, it won't build another. That's ridiculous. In AWCW, it should be standard AI protocol to always have one APC on the field in any condition. Just a reccomendation.

Noted. In TBS type games, units are built depending on current income and field conditions, the latter interpreted by the AI as a list of weighted priorities.

I think this should only apply to "big" maps (Whirly, for example). Because building an APC in some maps is completely unnecessary.

The capture phase of some maps requires an APC <_<

But yeah, beyond the capture phase, they're useless unless you are facing Olaf or Aira. Speaking of which, the AI needs to build extra APCs against them, but only in a Sea or Air battle, or a really big Land battle.

Well, that can be solved simply by having an equation similar to

(Cost of Unit) x (2 if <75%;4 if <50%; 8 if < 25%) x (1 if land unit, 3 if sea or air unit) x (Fuel used per move) (Which I assume would be a variable that Aira and Snow weather directly influence)

And then cycling through all units, adding it up, multiplying it be a decimal, and then prioritizing it. My guess, anyway.

I think it would be best if the AI just ignores APCs for most maps, like I do. 8)

and spam infantry like crazy like you do? no thanks, thats too annoying for an AI...its even hard to put up with that against you on our 2 battles! imagine the countless games against the AI >_>

APCs should be bought depending on the distance between the bases and the ammount of cities far from the base.

Agreed.

EDIT: I usually use APCs as bridge pluggers...

EDIT 2: Or as a decoy...
