What if we arrange a time to set a new "highest number users online at one time record". every body tries to get in touch with somebody who has left to get them to help set the record.

That probably won't work. If you haven't noticed, there's a bit of a stigma surrounding this place. Anyone who's been here and left probably won't come back on anything short of their own accord. Anyway, I tried regular PR in the past, didn't really work. I was thinking of something bigger, like a tournament, but the details need to be ironed out. That, or a complete graphical overhaul, because people like shiny things.

Another thing to consider is the fact that the previous record was set by a ton of bots swarming the boards.

None of the AW boards are very large, all things considered, and if you hang out a while you can identify the regulars, the drifters that come and go, and the kinds of users that post a couple times, if at all, and then drop off the face of the forums forever.

We are on a mission, a mission from god ~ elwood
I am assuming you got this from blues brothers <3

Anyway my $0.02 CAD (getting close to $usd):
Some people are pained every time they come here, most of the members that left here fall into a few categories. First are the people that didn't really care for the game, they came, they saw, they left. Then there are those who conrtibuted, music, sprites, artwork, etc. These left when repeated works were refused or reworked making, or even worse, cut from the game... these are the people that spent anywhere from a year (or like me many years) working on the project for nothing to show for. In the end it was selfish of us since the programmers were the ones hurting from ALL the demand they were getting. Then you got people that got busy with life (kosheh the teacher :O), and are so caught up in life now they arent kids (hell im not a teenager with all the time in the world either).

All that remains are the hardcore programmers.

You would be better of trying to get new members rather than the old but by all means if you want to do what you want to do I cannot stop you, but be warned if the new members are like the all demanding old guys, they will only leave soon to. I rather see a new base of members that are dedicated to play testing and having fun rather than furthering their own goals of stuff to include into a game.

Before doing that, contact kosheh to give forum a face lift, reset post counts, delete all unactive accounts, and get xenesis to fix forums since today was a bad day on the forums. Also reducing the ammount of subsections, making things more user-friendly can't hurt. Then again hold off on bringing new people since school is starting and this place will be as good as dead if there arent regular releases.

FUCK IM JUST RANTING I QUIT... take it or leave it XD
