KE has been sick and quite bored today, so here's some random custom unit that'll fail just to occupy my time.

---

Name: Flagship
Cost: N/A (only predeployed)
Move: 5 (Ship)
Fuel: 99
Weapon 1: Flagcannon (9 ammo - Can target any non-hidden unit.)
Range: 2/5
Damage: TBW (to be written)
Weapon 2: None
- If the Flagship is destroyed, its army loses.

---

Maybe I'll make a damage table later, if the unit is worth anything. I just thought it'd make for some fun naval maps.

*yawn*

Interesting. Rather, however, why not add a feature that makes one unit a "King" unit - a unit whose destruction results in a loss?

[ then you could have air and land battles like this too ]

An aerial 'kingpin' unit would be kinda lame, though, since there are quite a few units that pwn air units, one of them being an air unit itself. Naval units only have 2 real weaknesses, those being Subs and Bombers, both of which can be countered with Cruisers, or the latter with Carriers if you so wish.

Besides, when crossing an ocean in wartime, I'd rather be on a boat than a plane, IMO. :/

So basically it's a sea-unit-HQ?

Hmm, could be promising.

Give the weapon a better name though, like "Super Cannon", "Heavy Cannon", or "Wave Motion Gun". Anything but flag-cannon.

By the way...what if your flagship runs out of fuel?

Also, its armor should be a smidge better than a battleship's. If it's nigh invincible, there'd be little reason to protect it.

sounds better as a feature than a unit

protect the VIP or some shtuff like that

you could have more than 1 too, and whoever loses all of their flagged units loses

Actually, I like this.

It'd make for cool predeployed maps that would be awkward to include a HQ on, but you still want to protect.

If the Flag-Cannon's strong(mabye even stronger) than a Battleship, then by golly, that's a valuable unit you'll want to protect AND utilize. Though more valuable in the hands of indirect specialist CO's.

Max wants a Flagdestroyer. =(

There needs to be more cool scenario-like Pre-deployed maps.

There's no need in adding a new unit really, just go the way of AW1 like they did in that missile mission. We would just need to add on an icon to show which unit you had to protect and give it an extra 20% offense and defense or something if needed to make it stand out.

I always figured we were going to have something like that anyway for campaigns.

I'm personally not a fan of those tiny icons. Even the fuel/ammo blinking icons bug me, regardless of how useful they can be. (This is why I hate Drake. >_>)

Also, the idea of establishing any unit as the 'primary' unit is abusable. Primary Kanbei/Sturm Megatank, anyone.

Eh, just make a Flagship unit immune to CO effects. It's not hard to do, I'd imagine. <_<;

Abusable until the hail of rockets and tank fire destroys that unit and that army loses the entire game.

Also, presumably this would only be able to be set by the map creator.

Kanbei should be banned on a predeployed map anyway.

But yeah I'm liking this idea. The feature, not the unit that is.

The Flagcannon is actually a super-secret weapon devised by the French. I just leaked the info out of boredom.

Anyways, I'm gonna go make a new topic in Features instead about this. You may delete or lock this, or save it for future generations.

Wait, CW might influence future generations? God, save them. Please save them.

The flagcannon is a toy everybody knows about and is funny for making awesome random stuff like the above picture or Trigun's first episode gag.

I mean yeah lock this <3

You're speaking of a flagcannon. I'm referring to a Flagcannon. The capitalized F makes all the difference. >_>

I'd have called it a Flak-Cannon just to have a name similar to Flagcannon(lol), but them you'd probably make the same picture above, but with flak coming out saying, "Bam!". And then Flak-Cannons typically do anti-air stuff.

You should give it hover movement just to be like, "Lol hovers". Then you can deploy it on land maps too for its purpose.

No, he'd have been flying out the cannon, probably scorched or in flames, with OMG W0RLD 0F P41N written in his eyes and some other funny thing.
