Terrain
Shows no image, allowing the background to show through
Impassable to all units, and thus no attributes (such as defense stars) needed

Yes, but is there a way to smooth out the edge a little bit?

That's more of a problem of that one particular map... if you restrict yourself as a map creator not to create jaggies like that it won't look more strange than a normal rectangular map.

Where could you put blank spots like that that wouldn't look weird? I like the idea (I'd prefer if I could have done something like that for that map from the start), but I'm not sure what we could do graphically.

It's good how thus bug actually came about. It's a good idea. We could work out some gradient effect to smooth the edges of the map.

A gradient might be good, but I'm not sure how it'd be done short of just some kind of weird extra tiles missing about half the pixels. At the very least, water and rivers could be stretched out to look like they're going off into some endless ocean instead of a cliff.

Narts, I don't recognize the CO in the top image. Seems to be some kind of baseball cap?

I don't see this as being only "shits and giggles", although I lol'd at the road surrounded by the void.

I thought about that one, but it'd still be rough when it came to some edges, or just some bizzare designs.
