Yeah, I updated Mission.java with it.

I also deleted the AI, which I think was causing most of the problems. But since I implemented both, it's impossible to know!

You should make an announcement everytime you release a stable beta. -nod-

I commented out the places where it existed, and I deleted AI.java. If you really, really need it you can always rewind a few releases and grab the source from there (since the version I had was from BI).

I also have AI.java and what not from a while ago, so if that doesn't work, you can PM or IM me.

Also I would release Beta 22E but it appears Vimes broke the CO select screen and CO index somehow.

Artemis points to Rattigan
Tempest points to Napoleon
and Koshi points to Artemis.

IMO it's pretty weird for the time being so I'll hold off on releasing it. I'll fix it in the morning...I need some sleep.

CoconutTank's got the source.

K since I'm lazy I'm not going to find out if anything else changed or to add stuff. I'll just paste links to the jar and the source files. Sorry if I do anyone else any disservice or leave anything out >_> And the IDs have been fixed so the problem kosh described above shouldn't occur.

CW source files

Ugh. <_< For now I'll just leave the sources up, Uru's making some changes soon anyway.
Log for this update:

Yukio's COP now costs 3 stars.
Koshi's COP now costs 4 stars.
Falcone's SCOP increases repair costs to 250% instead of 200%
move() command within Unit no longer sets move to null
Bugfixes to Tempest, Xavier, and Koshi
Parallel Galaxy units assigned a temporary palette while color and name is decided upon.

"soon" is probably this weekend.
I'd appreciate if things were working nicely when I make my changes.

Hm. you're missing an important boolean (the perfectMovement boolean) in Unit, and you need to set fuelMult to 1.

Also, for Sanjuro, I didn't include code to switch off perfect movement after his SCOP is over, as well as update the cost multiplier. Also, it's possible to achieve 0 costs by buying multiple units of the same type. <_<

ugh.

Changes:
Cleaned up and merged all the code generated in my absence
Adam
Walter
Joey
some minor fixes to server games
new sprite sheets

Basically this release wasn't my doing, but rather the doing of the other coders over the last month...and what I just did was the long and boring job of cleaning up everything.

btw, MG...I couldn't figure out how to reactivate AI...let's talk about it some time tomorrow.

I was thinking of releasing tomorrow with some features I was planning (and the AI), but I decided the testing it would go through over the next day or two would be better.

I'm ready to start working on new stuff now though. So I don't think this release will last very long as the newest release.

Basically, I plan to have checksums, tag power bans, and the AI working again (including in server games) in the next release. Maybe some other stuff too.

Terrain sprite sheets, awesome.

That means... cities, bases, ports and airports have been fixed everyone!

Actually you're a little off, Xaif.

The cities, bases and airports are all miscolored...for BH and GE ._.

They're in backwards order, and not only that but you added an extra palette to the units.

BH is more purple than that. However, I'll let it slide but they should be darker so they're more distinguishable than neutral cities.
also DM has the same palette twice in a row.

lol @ right out of the ZIP

GE VS. AC
Image

You made GE's darkest shade the lightest shade of BM.

<_<;

I'll tweak the color filters, fix GE and then see about...

Hey, how about we test that teal color for JC?

ALSO ALSO HEY GUYS
I'm going to do another release which is mainly a graphics overhaul - filters need to be fixed, images are out of place, and you've got the old backgrounds and the fffffffff

Shouldn't take me long

lol, my own release of CW with graphical updates.
  • Updated CO spritesheets so it's to to date with Graphic Archive
  • Reversed JC and AC HQs on property sheet, they were backwards
  • updated CO name tag to reflect the current version's CO index
  • updated menu and title screen backgrounds
  • fixed some filters (namely CS and CD as well as GE and JC)
  • new D2D screens
  • I made little tweaks to the CO select screen - namely the nation logos and I fixed the JC filter on the CO select screen.

In short, I went nuts.
I've got a copy of those filters somewhere if you're looking for them, Vimes.

I like to think the extra underscore is short for "Tsuruya will shit bricks because it's not to his personal standards version".

lol you gotta admit that it looks better than the original package though

I added both to my project some weeks ago (back when my computer was working <_<), and at least Smitan seemed to be working fine. I dunno if the new version of Minamoto is...probably yes.

Changes:
- Balance mode updates for both IS and custom units. Most prominent: the infantry nerf removal and hovercraft overhauls!
- Intel on CO select screen (for some COs).
- Improved urban tiles, they're not ugly any more!
- Removal of unnecessary images from the image folders.
- x0's maps are now included.
- Other small graphical aspects.

You can find the changes to the units in their respective topics in the balance forum, I'll be updating the damage table in due course.

A note to Vimes: The urban sprite sheet seems to be 1 pixel too high, I don't know what's causing that but it was apparent in beta 23b as well.

That's odd. Ah, well. This might throw things off slightly - but as long as the sheet is now 32 pixels in height it should be fine.

And I notice the airports are still fugly. This is not improving! >:O

Vimes: The owned airports are the AW2 airports, although I haven't done anything about neutrals as they're not spritesheets.

BG: I didn't know how to do it ;_;

Fugue: So they have :/ That's strange because I used beta 23b's sources and they're files were there on Netbeans when I compiled. I'll see why later, it's late where I am so I'm off for the night.

Oh also, I didn't know how to make hovercrafts cost 15000G from ports while costing 10000G from bases...
