That reminds me, something needs to be done about Eric.

Excellent work, by the way.

It should work now. The link below is for those who don't want to re-download the whole thing again. You will have to delete your options file and replace the images, some stuff with terrain selecting (crude, but functional) has been added

Post subject:

i mean

Sweet. So, download 25a and download the files in that link, and just replace? Or I assume the new 25a is already set up with the files?

Author:  Captain Vimes [ Tue Jan 01, 2008 4:12 pm ]
Post subject:

Yeah, the new link is the good one. If you downloaded it before, you can just use the link to just replace the jar.

Author:  SimMarine [ Tue Jan 01, 2008 4:14 pm ]
Post subject:

Okay, thanks. Hadn't downloaded it earlier because of the bug.

Post subject:

25a works now, thanks for that.

What did you happen to do with charge rates though? It looks like 10000g/star, since losing 10 infantry charges 1 star and losing 1 tank and 3 infantry charges the same amount. Oddly losing 1 battle copter charges 1 full star.

Author:  Captain Vimes [ Tue Jan 01, 2008 4:35 pm ]
Post subject:

I fixed it to 9000G per star, because we never really got to test 7000G per star out right, so I went to 9000G for corrrectness this time around.

Sami, Jake, Von Bolt, Sonja updated
7000G per star
Fugue provides : Auto-log in code! Set your user name and password and auto-log in! Delete your options file, whoop.
CoconutTank provides : Movement based changes work! Jared and Melanthe are all "oh noe you can see the other player's movement properly"
WAAAAAH CUT LIST COs have been cut. They are gone and Dark Matter has only three COs now. Owned.
All COs have bios, I decided to do it becuz
Landers take reduced damage from ranged units and subs
Hovecraft cost 15000 from ports
Walls are fixed...I believe.
I also put in a scrolling background on the COselect screen, which is not where Kosheh wanted it, but Xaif apparently has a new intel screen soon, so yeah.

SORRY THRAWN, Tempest hasn't been updated yet.
ALSO Walls haven't been added to the AW_DS tileset.

it's cool lol

You might want to put it on the Map Select screen too but that's just my two cents. If it's simple as pasting the code to make it scroll in the map menu as well, then do it but if not...yeah >:

DoR fog and movement? are you freaken serious?

Author:  Narts [ Sun Mar 02, 2008 12:55 am ]
Post subject:

You've had nearly two months of time to facepalm about the movement and one month about the fog. Why'd you protest now? Anyway I don't see why we should care when you're hardly ever around and don't play the game.

That being said, I suppose it would be nice to have these features be optional, at least for the sake of keeping the DS mode authentic, not that I personally want to go back to using fossilised mechanics.

Well the old code for pre-DoR movement and FoW revealing is still in the classes, but I thought we were adopting them b/c they're better. At the least, making the move and action occur simultaneously cuts out move/canceling to fish out concealed units for the most part, and the new FoW revealing makes FoW less of a pain in the butt.

Author:  Xenesis [ Sun Mar 02, 2008 12:34 pm ]
Post subject:

I'm thinking we're adopting the DoR movement universally, but the Fog is optional. DoR style Fog is the standard for Balance mode now though.

-Animation canceling works more consistently.
-Carriers can build/launch now (there's a graphical issue with launching, -- -the launch area persists after firing. Press B to cancel out.)
-Moving units no longer have piercing vision (except for the spyplane)
-Fixed the atrocious filtering of Copper Sun and Cobalt Drift
-Added a manual for easy reading.
-Memento fixed!
-The unload bug discovered by Tails is fixed!
-The lobby auto-refreshes every 10 seconds (turn it on under options!) I'm not sure how much the server can take, but I might tweak it down to 5 second/2 seconds, or something where it refreshes often for the first 2 minutes, then down to once a minute. Is there a way to get the window to flash if there's a message?

This will probably be the last version before I clean up bugs/something and release 1.0!

Slated for dev!
-Improved intel screen

I'm not sure if we can still manage CO Bans, though. ;_;

Author:  Xenesis [ Wed Apr 09, 2008 6:31 pm ]
Post subject:

I'd prefer if the refresh rate was something around one minute...but the rest of this looks very cool.
