Yes, we're merging them all into one. Thank Unakau for the idea.

From my "Here are a few tips, or how not to fail hard:"

A good post generally contains:
1. Coherency
2. Intelligence
3. Grammar
4. Spelling

Coherency is the most important. Without it your post does not make sense and that's never good. Second most important is intelligence shown in the post, which includes having decent spellings (hint: I use the Firefox spell check. If I didn't have it, my typos would be much more obvious.) so you don't look stupid and thinking your post through. Grammar and spelling are secondary, and they are kind of extensions of 1 and 2 because as long as 3 and 4 doesn't make you look stupid or interfere with the understanding of the post, you're fine.

More things:
1. Whining about elitism tends to be frowned upon. This is CW, elitism exists, move on unless you can honestly do something about it, which is unlikely if not impossible. In a democracy, some favoritism always exists in voting, whether consciously or unconsciously.
2. It is good to play the game online before arguing about balance.
3. If you want to be vulgar at least be witty about it. Some of the "jokes" here just...urgh, especially since it derails otherwise good topics...you guys know who you are.
4. Please think about the concepts you are arguing about, like what democracy actually is.
5. Generally, insincere flattery is stupid and often easy to see through.
6. In general, don't be stupid.

IN SUMMARY: Don't be stupid, make sense, think before posting, spell decently. That is all.

Oh, and only post when you have something to say, not when you have to say something. (Modification of a famous quote by someone I forgot)

My attempt to help the certain threads not reek of epic fail so much anymore.

And as such, that requires a complete and comprehensive examination of the rules under a much cooler mod duo's regime, namely me and the absolutely adorable Guesty pie. But enough small talk, let's get to the revolutionary business and stuff:

Rule #1: I hate you by default.

I'm not a very cuddly moderator unless you prove to me you're cool through action, and as such, you are guilty until proven innocent. In other words, if you're a new user, don't go whoring yourself around expecting to be lavished with various compliments about your wonderful posting style and internet sensibility. If you want to be known as a worthy user with style, panache, and a good sense of humor, then show us.

Rule #2: I hate all your fads.

This includes and is not limited to: 4chan memes, image macros or whatever the hell they're called, '1337' speak, esoteric youtube videos, dumb Annie May/hentai crap, unhealthy obsessions with cartoon or video game characters, spamming topics, or posting a youtube video in a topic not explicitly involved in posting youtube videos; if you rely on this to be funny or original, expect no mercy from my lovable, cuddly, adorable self and my delicious new moderator powers. Trust me, I'm itching to try them out. For future reference:

Rule #3: Having a bad day? Can't spell? Go away.

Be courteous; yes, this means unless your name is 'Caliph Treed', 'Treedweller', or whatever incarnate my next name will be, flaming or other rude, intolerant behavior will result in appropriate action from our wonderful group of moderators and admins; basically, whoever catches you first. And for god's sake, if you lack the ability to spell, download Firefox 2.0 or learn to use Microsoft Word before posting anything you believe to be of moderate merit or value to our social forums.

Rule #4: Uber, here's my opinion of you and your pitiful attempts at somehow making me feel compelled to allow you to post furry topics. AKA NO FURRY TOPICS

Uber, here’s the thing: when a mod locks a topic, it means they don’t want any continued discussion of the topic. That includes, but is not limited to the creation of multiple topics and general dumbassery coupled with the inability to do anything but slaughter the English language. And if you’re that desperate that you need to express your sexuality through disgusting, sexually abnormal expressions of ‘erotiscism’, then go do it with your 13 year old WoW nerd friends.

Break them in excess, and you're subject to all kinds of nasty punishments, including public stoning, public hanging, various warnings, various types of banning and/or being forced to wear a panache avatar.

Have a nice day, dearies, and do enjoy the pleasant change in atmosphere.

It was a pretty good idea, though. Thanks, Unakau.
