I tried to join the latest game but it didn't work:

I downloaded CW_27_mod.zip Crap Wars 2.5 from google code
renamed CW_eh 2.5.jar to CW_eh_2.5.jar java didn't want to launch it other wise
I choose to join a server game
name: care bear
master pass: 090516
name:stef
my pass:##

I can now see the chat & game info. but dialog needs my attention...

Console prints:
Join Server Game
success
1
2
2
Narts
empty

Now comes the question type the number of army you will command.
I type 2

Console prints:
wrong password
Incorrect Password

I"m now into a loop where it keeps asking the name of the game to join
=( what's wrong?

The mod, for starters.

Try using Ad Hoc Commander version 090516. (it's on the google repo) There's no master password, leave that field blank.

I see you picked a tag team... Just so you know Ad Hoc wasn't really designed with tags in mind, although the game does still work. (Just the charging for the CO on the bench still uses the DS formula) In any case Mina is useless on a map without airports so it doesn't matter.

Aren't you going to switch to Leone? Skyfox isn't much fun when there are no airports to deploy it from...

Umm I never use cos, just the co unit which is just best veterancy... I don't understand what all the fuss is about, and it takes so much time when it is activated(at least in the original games)

ok so how do I switch to leone?

choose Swap instead of End to end your turn and switch COs
switch is immediate; second CO is active by opponent's turn

I think you'll be delighted to hear that in AHC all the CO does is summon units with the best veterancy. No powers or anything else to worry about.

Not trying to prove anything. Infantry spam just happens to be the default state of things in Advance Wars - deal with it. Or play Crap Wars, which tries to mitigate inf spam somewhat.

IFVs have guns. If you're unsure about what units can attack which consult the damage chart (accessible through the battle menu).

Having a third of your army composed of apex units just isn't right. The system needs... fine-tuning

I thought you were still winning with your massive income advantage. Dragon Install is an awesome map. The more fronts the better.
