Vista! Man I hate that trash... Norton never uninstalls clean on that OS for some reason. Best of luck with that.

Wait... You mean people don't reinstall a non-OEM OS the moment they turn it on for the first time??

You can try avast... It is pretty good on security, and free.

Am I the only person on this planet that doesn't hate Vista? If you turn user account control off and have a spare gig of RAM it isn't too bad...

I've found Kapersky to be decent but it doesn't come free... AVG was alright, never used avast.

OEM OS is the operating system disc that comes with the manufacturer of your computer, like Dell Vista which is Vista but with Dell stuff which will auto install along with Vista.

If you have 2 hard disk drives, or a disk drive partitioned into two or more, you can always just dual boot. Just stick in XP and install to the other drive and then boot from vista disc and repair the boot manager to get dual boot.

Norton is a pain to uninstall... it involved a reformat in my experience

Don't use AVG if you play valve games, it sucks up all your Paged pool RAM.

Avast! isn't bad, I use it on my windows partition.

I don't know what the fuss was about. I don't see anything Norton-related after uninstall, or does it hide stuff?

Anyway, we got Avast! I missed this thing, Comodo would go off almost every time I did something. I don't know how kiwi put up with it.
