First of all:

THIS IS AN ARMY STYLE, NOT A COLOR SCHEME OR A NEW COUNTRY >_>

And yeah, there isn't actually any Freelance CO in game but it can happen (yes, it can) and they will need a new army style. When you choose a FL CCO in the CO Selection menu using, say, Blue Moon, he/she will have the color of the country with the FL style, so "Blue Freelancer" in the color/style select (when it's implemented).

Well, in the sprite aspect, this is my first army attempt ever. I wanted this style to have a strong and fast look, militar overall. Units look like they have good speed and I think they are consistant enough... I haven't finished it all yet, I wanted to finish this up before posting anything but I'm having lotta PC trouble so I want a topic when I can post every minimal actualization so I don't lose anything if things go mad again.

There won't be a freelance CO as it just doesn't make sense. It's not the olden days where there'd be a sword-for-hire and he'd get paid with food. There's no way an army would put some random travelling commanding officer in command of their army.

Anyhow, the style's nice. The Bcopter's cool and the tanks look good. I can't tell which is which between the rockets and missiles, at a guess I'd say the top is rockets, however the single turret makes it look like an artillery. The fighter looks very OS, although I like the wings. Promising overall.

The fighter was made with the F14 in mind. I knew it would be similar to OS but if you put them both together you can see there are great differences. The glass were handmade, the air entry was modified, the wings were changed, front is also thinner and lot of stuff.

The rockets are the top and under them, those are missiles.

And I heard things about FL COs as VS-Only and Campaign purposes but nothing clear. However, I really wanted to do this, so here it is.

Looks pretty sexy. If there was a FreeLance CO... which I doubt... I'd probably play it just to see this army. Everything looks great, really!

Uh, but the Infantry are kinda fugly, you should fix their weapons/poses so they're more interesting.

Well, obviously my COs arn't pure FL COs. If one can ever be. Mine primarily have colors. Like Soda, she may be a CiC but she appears as Black Hole.

And, thinkin' about that, I made some details in yellow that will make them more distingishable when inside an army. When playing YC or AC that color will switch to another I suppose. It would be great if we could make a capmaign based on the FreeLancer organization, but it looks kind of stupid to think about it: freelancers are supposed to be on their own, but their inside a group? xD

Well, there's no place ITT to that matters, just the spriting. I'm glad you all like them. I'll work on the Infs because I made them like really fast just to post the army at once. I'll work on them, maybe make them look like special forces dudes could be great.

I'll work little these days, because I have some exams now in september. But, I'll still work in developing this army style.

Both.
Although, knowing Kanzer there is probably some alternate dimension where the cannon ends up and is loaded, and thus only a few Oompa-Loompa slaves would be killed.

I heard the opposite: to make another "Nation" in the CO Select menu for Freelancers.

That's why I wanted to make this.

PS. I'll update in a while wth my new infantry.

EDIT: Done. Infantry has now a Gatling Gun and Mech has a Rocket Launcher (with a visor for > 9000 awe).

I apologize in advance for extreme off-topicness, but WTF is up with the monocle/top hat combo? Does this have anything to do with Treed/Deoxy?

On-topic: Lovely sprites. However, don't the barrels, etc. of weapons need to be in the same position for ease of BA programming? The Piperunner in particular seems to violate this rule, and I'm not sure the 3 main Mega cannons are supposed to be that far forward, either.

I am so incredibly jealous of anyone with artistic ability here it's not even funny anymore. ESPECIALLY those who can make good sprites. (I tried a frankenshit Pokemon sprite once. It burned my eyes. No, I don't have it saved. So don't ask.)

Fuck yeah. But I think those marks in the Rocket don't look all that cool. The Megatank's rock and stuff. I shall redo the artillery right now to something like, pure win and all.

Deoxy, you know I love your awesome ideas but I'm not awesome enough to sprite such awesome infantries. I need more awesomeness for awesome results.

Xaif said we don't change the angle in Battleships IIRC, but nothing about tanks. Because IS Tanks, for example, don't have the same heigh and their cannons aren't coincident.

I knew you'd love that. But I think I'm going to use the Corsair for the Bomber and the B-2 Spirit for the stealth (as opposed to the default AWDS 117 Nighthawk).

But I'll use the Valkyrie for my next army style. Which will be more stylish and that bomber suits perfectly inside it.

Also lol nobody comments the hovers? I need to know if you like them or I screw them and sprite new ones >_>

The hovercrafts are cool, the fan casings are unique. One complaint is that the artillery cannon looks really wierd sticking out that far, maybe put one on each side as opposed to one on the front and one on the side? Other than that they looks great.
